Traditional to Modern | Matching Loveseat Reupholstery

These matching loveseats had plenty of life left in them, but their traditional styling was ready for an update. Our clients wanted a significantly more contemporary look while keeping the furniture they already owned.

The transformation began by rethinking the original design. We eliminated the traditional skirts and decorative piping to create a cleaner, more streamlined silhouette. Removing the skirts also revealed the wooden legs, which we carefully refinished and repaired where years of concealed upholstery staples had left their mark.

For the new upholstery, our clients selected **Maxwell Space Race #515 – Emerald**, a beautifully textured fabric that brings colour, depth, and a contemporary feel to the furniture. The simplified upholstery detailing allows the fabric and the loveseats' proportions to take centre stage.

The result was a dramatic transformation. With their newly exposed wooden legs, clean lines, and fresh emerald upholstery, these once-traditional loveseats now feel like an entirely different set of furniture.
